Reactive Dog Course
Living with a dog that displays reactivity and aggression towards other dogs can be challenging, confusing and worrying. If you struggle with a dog and feel lost and unsure how you can move forward, or perhaps you are interested in learning more about dog behaviour then join us on this 2 day course and understand what can drive these behaviours and lead to displays of aggression or indeed true aggression.
Learn how you can work towards changing how your dog feels and responds in these situations and the systems and training you can put in place to achieve more calmness.
Whether you have a dog that is reactive towards other dogs, people or any other triggers. The principals of modifying their behaviour are the same.
Please note: only dogs we select to work with will be present on the course. We aim to educate you on body language, the various drivers of dog reactivity, and the techniques and processes to work with different types of dog to dog reactivity.
We will be covering:
Understanding the critical socialising period
Fear periods in your dogs development
How dogs build associations
Identifying your dogs triggers
Your legal responsibilities
Building focus and motivation
